The role of acid glycosidases in the process of fertilization

Acid glycosidases ( EC 3.2.1. ) In the nucleus of mammals found in the lysosomes of somatic cells and organs. The germ cells during spermatogenesis appear in the form of acrosome , a lysosomal be rejected . Occurs sperm maturation in the epididymis . In this process, sperm cell surface glycoproteins may be eliminated or modified by masked proteases, glycosidases , and acid glikozylotrasferazy that are synthesized and secreted primarily by endothelial cells . It is suggested that the acid glycosidase are involved in the binding of the sperm to the zona pellucida glycoproteins egg surface .
